Un rifiuto tecnologico in meno?
Sappiamo bene quanto incida sull’inquinamento terrestre la tecnologia (non a caso è stata coniata la definizione di RAEE, Rifiuti da Apparecchiature Elettriche ed Elettroniche), tanto in fase di produzione quanto nell’eliminazione dei prodotti una volta dismessi, ma abbiamo dovuto attendere venticinque anni perché qualcuno si decidesse a realizzare dei CD resistenti ai graffi, liberando la Terra da uno dei rifiuti tecnologici più diffusi, sia per la facilità con cui può diventare illeggibile sia per l’obsolescenza tipica degli standard informatici. Scratch-Less Disc Industries, un’azienda del Colorado, ha presentato una tecnologia che potrebbe estendere notevolmente la vita dei supporti ottici, rendendoli resistenti ai danni derivanti dall’uso quotidiano. Per quanto leggermente più costosi delle versioni tradizionali, questi CD saranno sicuramente ben accolti dagli utenti, vista la possibilità di preservarne i preziosi contenuti, il che dovrebbe ridurre la quantità di supporti eliminati per inutilizzo.

Per quanto riguarda gli aggiornamenti sulle direttive RAEE ti posso consigliare i diversi articoli pubblicati negli ultimi mesi da Punto Informatico, li trovi inserendo proprio la parola RAEE nel campo di ricerca della pagina principale. A mio giudizio sono gli aggiornamenti più chiari e sintetici reperibili in Rete sull’argomento.

a proposito di raee, qualche giorno fa ho comprato una lavatrice ma di decreto raee e ritiro, bollino sul prodotto nuovo, informative nel negozio, neanche a parlarne, anzi rivolgendomi al servizio clienti mi dicono che a loro risulta che le scadenze sono al 2007.
